2005 Fall Camporee at Fort Ticonderoga
Editor's note: This is most likely the 2005 fall camporee. It was originally thought to be spring, but the 2005 Spring camporee was at Schodack Island State Park. One of the scout uniforms in the photos features a 2005 badge from Camp Wakpominee. The exact date is estimated to be October 1st, as it seems like another troop website posted on October 2nd that it happened "this weekend". Another troop website also says it happened September 2005.
Fort Ticonderoga is a fort located near the southern end of Lake Champlain in New York. It was of strategic importance during the French and Indian War and the American Revolutionary War. Many decades later, it was also the site of the Mahikan District's 2005 fall camporee.
The scouts in the troop were able to explore the fort, watched a war reenactment, played football, relaxed on some (surprisingly very soft) grass, and constructed a camporee gateway to their campsite.
